STOP SIGNS IN THE QUR'AAN AL-KAREEM
Another useful step taken to
facilitate recitation and phonetically correct pronunciation was
to provide signs with Qur'aanic sentences which could tell the nature of
making a stop (breathing) there.
These signs are known as 'rumaz' (signs) of awqaaf (stops).
These signs helps the person who has little or no knowledge of Arabic
Language.

CAUTION TO THE READERS OF THE
QUR'AAN AL-KAREEM
There are twenty such places in
the Qur'aan al-Kareem
where even a little carelessness can make one guilty of the
unintentional utterance of words of words of kufr.
The changing or transposing Zabar (Fat'ha), Zer (Kasra) and Pesh
(Dhamma)
can alter the meanings of words,
and to intentionally read incorrectly can plunge one into the act of a
major sin (Goonah Kabira),
so much so that it can lead one to the brink of Kufr.
